The Dog Days of Summer. As a lover of words, as well as of dogs, I couldn’t help wondering where that phrase originated. It turns out that ancient cultures saw a connection between the hottest days of the summer season and the rising of the star Sirius.

I know that Stars would want to thank everyone, all her friends and fans, for all of the love that has been sent her way. Some might say a Starling wouldn’t understand enough to feel grateful for such love. But I know, and you know, that Stars would. She would call you all her hamsters, her very favorite word to use about things that made her happy. And you are all my hamsters, too.
Some little changes
For some time now, I’ve been led to try and spend more time and effort on my writing. Although live tosses stumbling blocks in my path, that is where my focus is gradually shifting.
