We had a weird summer, weather-wise. It was very dry, and I wondered if that would affect the fall colors this year. There was nothing to worry about, as we had a glorious autumn.
Now, autumn is half over, many of the leaves have fallen, and we are gently descending the slope toward winter.
This, as always, shifts me into Extended Holiday Mode. Heck, I’ve been putting pumpkin spice in my coffee since August, and confess that I’m already itching to start the Thanksgiving dinner plans and dig out the holly and mistletoe.
Yes, I’m one of those annoying people who sings Christmas carols in October. I think that might be because I like to make hand-knit and hand-crocheted gifts for my family. To get them done, Christmas crafts are started in the fall. Or maybe it’s just because I’m one of those annoying people who sings Christmas carols in October. (Hey, I even like seeing the way-too-early holiday displays at Walmart.)
The season, of course, also leads to a reminder that I will be holding my holiday special of 3-pack sessions for my existing clients. It’s my way of saying “thank you” for being with me and trusting me with your precious animal friends. This year, as previously announced, my rates will be going up on November 1st. You can read more about that here. This means that the cost of the holiday special will change, but it will still amount to a $30 savings as compared to the regular session rate. The special will begin on “Black Friday,” the day after U.S. Thanksgiving (that means November 25th) and it will continue until New Year’s Day. I’ll send out another announcement closer to the date.
As we head into this season of thanks and giving, I hope you and your loved ones are all safe and well. Thank you for being such a blessing to my life. Holiday hugs and treats for all!
